Brasserie Perrier
My first meal at Brasserie Perrier (which I am currently reviewing) must be given special consideration because (1) I ate it on the same day as my return from a trip to Paris and Barcelona, and (2) I had it during the Philadelphia $30 restaurant week
. It is hard to compare a place like this to the likes of Le Grand Vefour, however one should keep in mind that Brasserie Perrier was created by Chef Georges Perrier, the head chef and owner of Le Bec Fin
. Either way, my meal was excellent. The food was very different from what one would find in a real Parisian brasserie or restaurant, but the artfullness, execution, and service was spot on the mark. My only complaint was that the meal seemed a bit rushed, however that might be because I am still used to the 2—3 hour meals I had in Paris.
