Want a quick lunch in West Philly? Are you sick of all of the greasy and questionably unsanitary lunch trucks restaurant? If so, Picnic is the place to go. Everything on the daily-changing menu is excellent; better than anything else you’ll find in West Philly. Vegetarian and vegan options abound, as do those for the health- and organic-conscious. You can stop in for one of the popular sandwitches or salads for lunch, while at the same time grabbing some “heartier” items to go (by the pound) for dinner. They’ll even be more than happy to pack you a picnic basket. There’s outside seating, weather permitting, allowing one to people-watch on this increasingly crowded and trendy area of Walnut street. And if you’re in the mood for some coffee or alcohol to wash it all down, you’ve got that right next door! The bottom line is: if you’re on Drexel’s campus, Eastern U. Penn, or even coming from 30th Street Station, this is the best place to go for a casual lunch in West Philadelphia.
